3. Eligibility
i. Age Limit
ii. Educational Qualification
- You should have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized university
- It is desirable that you have Basic Computer Knowledge.
iii. Age Relaxation
SC/ST – 5 years
OBC – 3 years
4. Exam Pattern & and Process of Exam
- You will have to go through 3 stages of the exam to get qualified as an Assistant Central Intelligence Officer with the Intelligence Bureau of India.
- There will be 3 stages:
- Preliminary Exam (Tier I)
- Mains Exam (Tier II)
- Interview

- The Mains Exam will be of 50 marks.
- It will be a Written Descriptive Paper.
- The Minimum Cut off for Tier II is 33%
Exam Pattern of IB Recruitment – Interview 2017
- You will be selected by combining your scores in both Tier I & II Exam.
- Final Selection will be based on combined score of Tier I, Tier II & Interview.
5. Application Fee
There will be no fee for SC/ST/Women Candidate and for Others a fee of ₹100/- to be paid for the application.
6. Salary
(Pay Band 2)
Salary – Rs. 9300 – Rs. 34800/-
